Building Strengths-Based Organizations and Teams


In this video, Sue Langley draws on a positive psychology, strengths-based framework to show why strengths matter, and what the benefits are of playing to one's strengths. While the talk is aimed at those directing organizations to be the best that they can be, the principles discussed are also valid at an individual level. Concepts such as positive deviance, workplace engagement, and "authentic" and "energizing" activity come to the fore as Langley energetically describes how to achieve optimal development and functioning through focus on that which is working well rather than that which is not. The video concludes with a short Q&A segment with Sue.
